In a career spanning over 30 years, Chris has been at the helm of events for more than one million participants in the likes of Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Zimbabwe, South Africa and India. As a result, Chris has a deep knowledge of every aspect of mass participation events from event conceptualisation through to sponsorship, marketing and operations and creates high impact for his clients.

Clients
Chris has worked with a diverse range of clients including governments, global and local brands, rights holders, agencies, media, not for profit organisations and federations.

His Portfolio
Some of his portfolio includes being the Road Events Supervisor at the Sydney Olympics and the Race and Project Director of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon with 60,000 runners and over 5,000 volunteers and staff as well as Cycle Asia which at its peak attracted almost 20,000 cyclists to multi-day events in the heart of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manila.

He worked with Red Bull to close Orchard Road in Singapore and Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur for David Coulthard to drive an F1 car up and down in front of over 50,000 spectators as well as their global Flugtag event in Singapore which attracted over 35,000 spectators.

Charity related events
In an increasingly purpose-driven world, Chris has a vast array of experiences to draw on from mass participation events that have created enormous community impact. Some examples include his role in helping conceptualise and deliver the inaugural Mother’s Day Classic in Sydney which has grown into a national network of events that has raised more than $30million for breast cancer research as well as the Dove Pink Star Walk in Sydney and the Barclays Bare Your Sole in Singapore.

Disability events
Chris was Road Events Supervisor for the Sydney Paralympics and for a number of years, he was at the helm of one of the world’s premier wheelchair races, the Ozday 10k which attracted most of the top racers and took place on Australia Day in Sydney.

Creating event concepts and IP
One of Chris’s core strengths is creating new event concepts. Some examples include Cycle Singapore which went on to become Cycle Asia across multiple countries, Anlene Orchard Mile and ASICS City Relay which was the response to a brief from ASICS and has now been rolled out in multiple countries.

Creating high impact
Chris will partner with you to share his experience and insights so that the impact of your event is significantly enhanced. His role can range for overall Project Director through to a narrow focus on one or a few aspects including those listed below.
