Mass Participation Asia (MPA) was founded by Chris in Singapore in 2015 with the primary objective of facilitating collaboration and driving best practice within the mass participation industry.

The inaugural conference was hosted in Singapore with Steve Cram (LA silver medalist and BBC voice of athletics) as the keynote speaker while the second edition was staged in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017 with several keynote speakers including Ben Slack (Tennis Australia), Victor Cui (ONE Championship), John Maclean (IRONMAN Hall of Famer) and many more.

In its two years, MPA has attracted over 300 delegates and 90 speakers with a global audience from 16 countries.

Apart from the overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, MPA has continuously provided a platform for the industry to network and present new concepts and ideas, with the likes of Nielsen Sport, ACTIVE Network and OCEANS Marketing presenting white papers.

MPA was also conceptualised to leave a legacy with the cities it is hosted in and is proud to have contributed towards the Sports Authority of Thailand’s long term strategic plan for sport tourism.

As with Chris’ ideal to contribute back to society, the last edition of MPA also benefited 140 people in Ethiopia who received access to clean life saving water with wells built by the WellWishers Trust through our charity partner B1G1.

MPA is in the process of expanding into year-round engagement with the industry including a weekly MPA NEWS and a number of other initiatives.
